Vision

To be the Egyptian practice clients trust with their most important buildings, from the first sketch to the day the doors open.

Mission

To deliver design and engineering under one roof, coordinated, documented and supervised by the same team, so what is drawn is what gets built.

Values: Four things we hold to.

• Integrity

  We tell clients what a project will cost and how long it will take, and we hold ourselves to it.

• Craft

  Detail is designed in the office, not improvised on site. Joinery, junctions and finishes are drawn before they are built.

• Precision

  Architecture, interiors and MEP are coordinated before a drawing is issued, so the site receives one set of answers.

• Legacy

  We design buildings to be maintained and extended. Several of our resorts have come back to us for their next phase.

Since 1990: Four decades of practice.

• 1990s · 10 projects

  EUD opened in 1990 with large-scale planning: gated communities along the Cairo–Alexandria desert road, Green Heights Compound in 6th of October City, and two competition-winning masterplans.

• 2000s · 23 projects

  A decade of hospitality. EUD designed twelve spa and thalassotherapy centres for resorts in Sharm El-Sheikh, the North Coast and Cairo, alongside five-star hotels for Hilton and Crowne Plaza.

• 2010s · 20 projects

  Larger buildings and mixed use: the 408-room Coral Sea Resort in Nabq, Alexa Tower in downtown Alexandria, the Prima Vista medical mall and the East Park residential complex.

• 2020s · 51 projects

  Resort extensions on the Red Sea, collaborations with M2 Development, and a steady body of private villas, apartments and medical clinics designed and executed end to end.
